This was an excellent opportunity to experience training and culture in a highly pleasant environment and with my professional qualified colleagues from a variety of universities across the world. We will repeat the experience in the future.

“Innovative foreign language teaching for specific purposes” training week was a great opportunity for language teachers to share knowledge and experience on the area of teaching language for specific purposes, using technology in language teaching and implementing language policy in higher education institutions. Also, we were lucky getting the best of the Greek hospitality by the hosts.

Enrica Rossi, University of Urbino Carlo Bo
I would definitely recommend this experience to anybody who is interested in meeting colleagues in an international and intercultural environment. Our hosts, Dora and Alex were welcoming and warm and were able to let these days be as interesting as they were useful. Hope to meet you next year!

The Erasmus training week was a fantastic experience both in the academic field and the personal. The participants were highly motivated and this made the exchange of ideas and experiences much richer and more interesting. Lefkada, as a venue, is a wonderful island, very beautiful and friendly, welcoming people. Our two professors, Dora and Alex, were wonderful, very open and friendly, informative and experts in their field. I would love to repeat this experience. Thank you very much.

Teresa Escado, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona
This was my first Erasmus staff training week and I found it was an incredible experience at all levels. Dora and Alex are absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable and as example to all. I’m looking forward to having same experience on business and medical English next time.

Angela Beverley-Gilbertson, Reutlingen University
The Erasmus+ Staff Training Week more than lived up to my expectations. The organisation was smooth and efficient throughout, and the Greek hosts were unfailingly helpful and supportive. The participants were able to exchange ideas and experiences on a wide range of issues. The excursions provided an additional intercultural dimension, and the week was informative, stimulating and academically and professionally rewarding.

During the training week, I met new and interesting people from different countries. I learned new things and methods for teaching foreign languages. The seminar was organised perfectly. Our teachers, Alex and Dora, were well trained, they read very interesting lectures and aroused the interest of all of us. The two trips during the week, as well as the evenings we spent with all participants at the workshop, helped us to create new friendships and to feel like we knew each other for a long time. The seminar was wonderful and it will remain an unforgettable experience for me.

In Lefkada, I met colleagues form different countries and I learned a lot of about language teaching worldwide. During the teaching week we created new friendships and we had interesting excursions. Alex and Dora were wonderful. Their lectures were interesting. I would like to thank Alex, Dora, the Rector of the University of Ioannina Georgios Kapsalis, Apostolis and Vanya for their hospitality! Everything was at highly level and I would like to go to the seminar again.

The training programme provided a wealth of relevant information on current issues in foreign language teaching. Both Dora and Alex share their research and professional experience which is very helpful to all, I believe. They gave their time and effort generously extending hospitality, kindness and thoughtfulness throughout the programme. Certainly we spent five days immersed in issues on foreign language teaching bathed in a total cultural experience that can only be described as absolutely overwhelming.
