The University Foreign Languages Centre and the Center for the Study of the Hellenic Language and Culture at the University of Ioannina organise a staff training week in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, entitled “New opportunities and challenges in foreign language teaching”.

The training will take place on Lefkas Island from 26 to 30 June 2017 at Ionian Blue Hotel. The programme is addressed to language teachers, academics, teacher trainers, school advisors/directors and students in the field of foreign language learning and teaching, as well as non-teaching staff involved in managing language courses.

Participation in the training week includes:

• lectures on three thematic areas:
  • Teaching world languages
  • Οrganising modern language courses using innovative methodologies
  • Foreign languages in promoting internationalisation of Higher Education
• participation in workshops,
• participants’ short presentations on their Universities,
• educational fieldtrips,networking,
• coffee and light lunch breaks,
• gala dinner,
• certificate of attendance,
• participants’ welcoming pack.
